IrrigAims began as Renowave, a student company in Kuwait, and the hardware, the award and the ambition all carried forward with the new name.
From a Kuwait classroom to a working platform.
IrrigAims was founded as Renowave, a student company built in Kuwait around a simple observation: the GCC's irrigation systems run on fixed schedules in a region where fixed schedules make no sense. That prototype (a solar-powered pod that could sense soil and close the loop by watering, feeding and correcting pH) went on to win Best Social Impact Award and place in the Top 3 companies at the INJAZ Kuwait National Company Competition 2025, and earned a CREST Gold Award (British Science Association) for AgroSense.
The company has since become IrrigAims, taking the platform from a student prototype to a working system: solar field pods, an on-site AI hub and a public live dashboard, with bench-test pods in Kuwait and India.

A Kuwait-based founding team — two who built Renowave as students, joined by a seasoned project lead — now taking IrrigAims to Abu Dhabi, with a senior adviser who has delivered infrastructure at scale in the UAE.
Afrah Hajira
Sets the venture's direction (incorporation, partnerships, pilots and programme relationships) while completing her engineering studies. Day-to-day delivery runs under the project lead.
Dhruv Deepu
Originated the AgroSense concept and built the first prototype, leading product development through two prototype generations of sensor calibration, firmware and field testing to the national award and first revenue. Holds the product-architecture role alongside his university studies, with the technical build formally handed over under documented architecture.
Deepu Soman
Twenty-plus years of infrastructure work across Kuwait and the GCC as an Azure-certified architect, including utility-scale sensor telemetry for Tenaga Nasional Berhad, Malaysia's national utility, the discipline AgroSense's production backend requires. Leads the project while the student founders complete their studies, covering backend migration, fleet security and project governance, and relocates to Abu Dhabi if the programme requires.
Manu Prakash S
Eighteen years in IT infrastructure and service delivery, twelve of them in Dubai running multi-site rollouts for Emaar Properties: the Dubai Mall enterprise network and wireless migration with a 25-strong technical team, the Emaar Hospitality hotel portfolio, and Reel Cinemas across sites. Now a PMP-certified project manager leading an eleven-engineer security testing practice delivering penetration testing and secure code review. Advises IrrigAims on exactly the problem a pilot programme becomes at scale: phased deployment across live customer sites, vendor and change coordination, and independent security assurance of the fleet. Advisory, not a founder.
